Counterfeiting is illegal, but the Federal Reserve is doing it anyway.
If we measured price inflation the way we did in 1979, it would be at 9.6%. http://www.cnbc.com/id/42551209 .
And it's still 5.5%, even by the new measurements.
This is NOT the result of choices by free individuals in a free market. It's the DIRECT result of the Federal Reserve's legalized counterfeiting -- what they call "quantitative easing."
The value of each dollar falls as the Fed creates more of them. This is theft.
* The elderly see their savings evaporate
* People with low incomes find it harder to pay their bills
This is the Federal State's fault, and it's up to you to fix it. You can do so by co-sponsoring H.R. 1098, the Free Competition in Currency Act. This bill will . . .
* Abolish the legal tender law that compels people to accept Federal Reserve notes as payment for debts
* Allow individuals and businesses to choose their form of money, including gold and silver
* Prohibit federal and state taxes, such as capital gains, on precious metal coins and bullion, thereby allowing these things to serve as currency
The Fed won't dilute its dollar when it's confronted by fair competition from private currencies. Prices will stabilize. Boom and bust cycles will end.
Ending the Fed's money monopoly would be a huge step toward a nation, and a world, of peace, prosperity, and freedom. Please support H.R. 1098.

Richard Rubin pleads guilty to income tax evasion
Even though I'm not a fan of Mr Rubin, I'm also not a fan of the I.R.S. more. This is gone on too long. The only notable politician against the I.R.S. is Ron Paul. Mr Paul is a congressman from Texas 14th district and a 2008 presidential candidate for the republican party. Hopefully one day, we will get to keep the fruits of our labor

More than 160 volunteers help spruce up Miramar's Fairway Park
Tired of waiting for help after flooding ruined facilities at the state park, nearby residents pulled an impressive DIY job and completed the estimated $4 million repairs just in time for tourist season.
From CNN:
"It would not have been open this summer, and it probably wouldn't be open next summer," said Bruce Pleas, a local surfer who helped organize the volunteers. "They said it would probably take two years. And with the way they are cutting funds, we felt like they'd never get the money to fix it."
Ivan Slack, co-owner of Napali Kayak, said his company relies solely on revenue from kayak tours and needs the state park to be open to operate. The company jumped in and donated resources because it knew that without the repairs, Napali Kayak would be in financial trouble....
So Slack, other business owners and residents made the decision not to sit on their hands and wait for state money that many expected would never come. Instead, they pulled together machinery and manpower and hit the ground running March 23.
And after only eight days, all of the repairs were done, Pleas said. It was a shockingly quick fix to a problem that may have taken much longer if they waited for state money to funnel in.
"We can wait around for the state or federal government to make this move, or we can go out and do our part," Slack said. "Just like everyone's sitting around waiting for a stimulus check, we were waiting for this but decided we couldn't wait anymore."
With the project finished, residents and business owners are now...waiting. The only thing left is having their home-made bridge certified, and of course, the tourists. But the folks deserve a shout out.
The challenge was borne out of necessity and the folks were probably not concerned with political labels. But the project is a great example of communities working (faster, and cheaper) without government. As Brian Doherty noted, in his recent Cato Unbound discussion with Seasteader Patri Friedman:
...an organized state with a monopoly on rule-making and force is not necessary to accomplish all vital social tasks...we can, if we are smart and brave, build something like our own culture from the ground up.
It's great to see real action put to a feasible and concrete use. Perhaps next, the residence of Kauai can establish their own police force and do something about one of Hawaii's biggest problems:

A letter from Senator Marco Rubio from Florida
I appreciate you reaching out to me regarding one of the biggest challenges facing our state and nation: the federal budget and out-of-control spending. As Florida's Senator, it is my priority to confront these issues by reducing wasteful spending, eliminating duplicative and inefficient government programs, and working to ensure the solvency of entitlement programs.
The United States' government's exorbitant spending must stop. This year, our federal deficit has reached $1.65 trillion, and that is why I strongly support a Constitutional balanced budget amendment and the House-passed Continuing Resolution (H.R. 1) and strongly oppose President Obama's budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2012. The era of big government has driven us into debt and we must take the necessary measures to reverse it.
Food, Healthcare, Education, Transportation, Cellular phone. What?
Watch t.v and you will see something about, Assurance Wireless and about two to three other free cell phone offers, but here's the catch; you have to be on public assistance for this program. Big government will get you anything you need, just come to them with your hat in your hand ans ask for a government handout.I know wow, thats mean ,you sound like those mean republicans that hate children and old people.
Shut Down the Federal State
Reject any increase in the federal debt ceiling. This would shut down the federal state until a balanced budget is passed.
That sounds scary, and there are many politicians who want you to fear it. They claim this will . . .
* cause economic cataclysm
* stop Social Security checks from reaching seniors
* strand soldiers without fuel, food, and bullets
None of these things are true. Revenues will still flow into the federal government even if the debt ceiling isn't raised, and the politicians can still decide what continues to flow out. They can continue to pay the interest on the national debt, and Social Security payments. The only way they would stop doing these things is in order to MANIPULATE YOU.
